Jodi Truglio-Editor-in-Chief

Jodi Truglio is a native New Yorker who is a journalist, strict vegan, animal/human rights activist and dreamer. She holds a degree in Print Journalism and Media Studies.

Jodi started her career as a music journalist, but quickly realized her words had the power to reach people and in the process could raise awareness about various global issues.  Her goal and hope is that the articles she writes touch the human spirit. Jodi also has knowledge of, and a passion for, environmental law.  In the past, she has written for the vegan blog This Dish is Veg, and was the associate editor for the sustainable fashion and beauty blog The Green Stylist . She also was a writer for the website One Green Planet.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, going to the gym and photography.

Emily Major-Contributor

 Emily is currently living in South Korea as an English teacher for young kindergarten students. While living there, she continues to write pieces about her passions, mainly concerning human and animal rights issues and organizations that are working towards helping them. Among her favourite things are cats, elephants, tigers, and pretty much any non-humans species. Traversing the world in a constant state of wonderlust,Emily thrives off learning and helping open up new ideas through the potency of her words.

 

Alexandra Beane-Guest Writter

Alex is an animal-loving vegan, animal rights activist, writer, and blogger. She believes that compassion is key and that life is about doing the best that you can personally do to make the world a better place. Alex works as a Copy Writer/ Marketing Assistant for a non-profit that benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation. On her spare time, Alex enjoys cooking, baking, reading, and spending time with her family, including her husband and their rabbit, a Holland Lop/ Jersey Wooly mix. She also writes for the website, This Dish Is Veg, and for her own blog, The Weekly Paws, where she shares recipes, reviews, and information about healthy eating and veganism.

Sabine Thier-Contributor 

Sabine was born and raised in Germany. She has always been passionate about animals, writing and traveling. These passions led Sabine to become a vegetarian at age 10, study literature and journalism at university, work as a flight attendant for a few years, and move to Australia where she had the opportunity to explore large parts of this beautiful country. Sabine now lives in Southern California where she works as a writer in the financial industry and trains for marathons in her free time.
