Mask Monday: Pretty Animalz By Masque Bar Review

By Jodi Truglio — August 31, 2020

If you are looking for an effective, playful mask to add to your evening self-care routine than Pretty Animalz By Masque Bar is perfect choice for you.

The line has 31 different Animalz masks to select from depending on your skincare needs. I picked the Unicorn  to try, since my skin had a few very mild blemishes.

When I first opened the sheet mask the first thing I noticed was the smell and like some of the other reviews online about this product, I also noticed it seemed to have more of a chemical scent with a faint undertone fragrance of kiwi.

The mask itself is a cute Unicorn, with that being said it was a little awkward to put on, since the company that created it mask made the choice to give it ears. As a result I had to fold them over in order for it to fit comfortably.

The directions on the package say to wash your face before applying and leave on 10-20 minutes, remove and pat excess into skin. I wore mine for 20mins. while I finished the book I was reading at the time. Once I removed it I noticed there was a lot of excess product residue left on my skin, so I used a soft cloth to wipe some of it and massaged the rest into my skin.

The next morning my skin felt soft and it had greatly calmed down. The little bit of acne that was there had dried up.

Final Notes:  I would have liked if Masque Bar’s website have more of a description for each Animalz in addition to what the key ingredients actually do for the skin. For example the Chick Mask contains black truffle which is an ingredient that I am not familiar with when it comes to skin care as a result I had to look it up. As it turns out Black Truffle oil helps reduce fine lines as well as hydrates the skin. I did find that the mask that I used was effective and met my expectations. I will probably try other Animalz in the future. I can also see this as being a fun proud for teens.
