The Balm Cosmetics Review

By Jodi Truglio — August 26, 2020

Looking for a great product line that is affordable and cruelty-free with lovely retro-inspired packaging, than The Balm Cosmetic’s line of liquid lipstick and mascara is worth its weight in gold when it comes to a great preforming product that you can count on. Just make sure you read the ingredients on the packaging or contact customer service in you have any questions when it comes to ingredients, since not everything in this line is vegan.

To be perfectly honest, in the past I rarely wore mascara, since I have sensitive skin and wear contact lenses. With that being said I am a true believer that a woman looks empowering with a great mascara.

Mad Lash is definitely quickly become one of my favorites, since it goes on smoothly and adds a ton of volume and definition that looks natural. I have thin long lashes and you would never know it once I apply this mascara. I also like that it seem to last all day and doesn’t flake or smudge.

I love wearing a good nude liquid lipstick and Meet Matte Hughes by The Balm makes one of my favorites. They have done a really nice job nailing the perfect formula that goes on smoothly and lasts all day even after eating and drinking.

Visually, I thought the colors in this nude set were appealing however, not so much when I tried them on. This might have been more of a me issue, since I found the shades to be a little too on the pink side, also I found an inconstancy in texture. Some of the mimi liquid lipsticks were too thin while others were the constantly of paste. Maybe, I got an old batch, since this was never an issue before. My favorite mini shade in the set turned out to be Trustworthy, which is has become one my go to shades to wear.
