A few months back, I had decided to get my Red Heeler mix a new Id tag as a gift to mark the one year anniversary of her adoption. Little did I know this would become a much larger project in terms of research than I would have ever expected.
The challenge was to find a cute, fashionable tag that is suitable for a dog that has allergies and at the same time making sure the writing and color won’t fade over time.
By complete chance, I discovered Red Dingo Id Tags while visiting my local dog boutique. The tags are made of stainless steel which gives them a beautiful finished look, while being a perfect choice for any allergy prone dog. They also have smooth rounded edges and are a pretty nice weight, meaning it doesn’t feel like it will bend or possibly break.
The dog tag I selected was “The Glitter Enamel Cupcake Dog ID” which I felt matched her personality perfectly because she is a little on the girly side and I refer to her as my little cupcake.
I guess you can say it was love at first sniff because my Red Heeler loves the tag so much that she hates when I take off her collar to bath her.
