Celebrating World Vegan Day In Style

By Jodi Truglio — November 01, 2017

Today, on World Vegan Day we celebrate what it means to be vegan. We carry in our hearts, our love for animals and the environment which motivates us to do better by them and not settle for what is considered to be the status quo.

This year we would like to acknowledge MooShoes, Orchid Grocer and Modern Love, all three represent what it means to be vegan at its best in addition to showing us what unity and compassion is all about.

Below is a little bit about each company.

Founded in New York City in 2001 by the The Kubersky sisters, Moo Shoes was the first cruelty-free store of its kind at the time and has become the go to shop for anyone who is interested in living a more cruelty-free ethical life style. You can always count on the items in this store to be fashion forward, sustainable unique and never just average.

Orchard Grocer

Created by the founders of MooShoes, Orchard Grocers, is a quaint, all-vegan deli and food market nestled in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The food here is inspired by the delicatessens of New York, which is reminiscent of a simpler time with the food always being star the attraction.

Modern Love

This restaurant is a true labor of love and well crafted partnership between Brooklyn native and cookbook extraordinaire, Isa Chandra Moskowitz and the Kubersky sisters. Modern Love is the kind of restaurant where everyone is away welcome and the staff welcomes you with a warm smile. The food here can simply be described as swanky vegan comfort food with a twist.
